Membrane Filtration

The process of membrane filtration uses pressure to force a carrier fluid, such as water, through a semi-permeable (porous) membrane in order to separate suspended particulate matter from the fluid and soluble components

Membrane Filtration

Reverse Osmosis

Reverse osmosis (RO) is a water purification technology that uses a semipermeable membrane to remove larger particles, (metal) ions from water. In reverse osmosis, an applied pressure is used to overcome osmostic pressure, a colligative property that is driven by chemical potential, a thermodynamic parameter. Reverse osmosis can remove many (metal) ions from solutions. For example, seawater could be purified by reverse osmosis method to produce potable water. The result is that the salts are retained on the pressurized side of the membrane, and the pure water can pass to the other side.

Ultra Filtration / Micro Filtration

Ozira is distributor of Polymem Ultrafiltration modules and can support all your UF applications projects.  We can design UF systems using the state of the art Polymem hollow fibre membrane cartridges and modules for drinking and process water production, wastewater reuse and recycling, pre-treatment to reverse osmosis for desalination or demineralization.

Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes are used for the retention of suspended solids (turbidity), algae, Cryptosporidium, Giardia, coliform, bacteria and viruses. The reduction of the turbidity to less than 0.2 NTU (generally less than 0.1 NTU) is assured regardless of the quality of the water to be treated.

With the vast experience gained by Polymem from several installations globally at utilities, councils and water authorities, we are well positioned to support your projects in Australia, New Zealand and The Pacific.

Polymem Ultrafiltration is an efficient and reliable low-pressure filtration process on microporous membranes.

In addition to drinking water treatment, ultrafiltration (UF) using these unique hollow fibre membranes is also well proven solution for a clean, efficient and economical technique for water purification in domestic and industrial fields.

Polymem Ultra Filtration could easily replace the conventional processing techniques and microfiltration because of its ability to remove not only small particles but also pathogenic microorganisms, viruses, pyrogens and some dissolved organic species.
